World Happiness Day, how to combine your happiness in just a day?

In the era of fast paced life and quirky plans, we almost have days to celebrate everything. From celebrating our love, our work, our friendship to our happiness and even our misery as well. 

 But sometimes all  I do is just think. Why do we even need a particular day to express, celebrate or actually showcase our affection on that day only? Why can’t we do it every time? Probably because by doing the same things again and again we tend to lose its values or start taking it for granted! 

Don’t worry, asking questions is not the agenda of today’s blog. I’m here to introduce you to one more event that you need to add in your life and it’s the day to celebrate you. O yes, there is a such day existing in the world and not from yesterday or day before that it has been part of civilization for decades. It’s just that we never felt the importance of making it a hype until the last few years.

Every year on 20th March, World Happiness Day is celebrated around the globe. When I first heard about this I had a smirk on my face no kidding, I mean why do you need a day to enjoy being you, being happy? But when I researched and went into the roots I was awestruck. We are currently living in an aura where every second person is depressed or fighting with anxiety or loneliness. 

I feel the aura, the environment has taken such a drastic change that we are in serious need of celebrating one such day.  Below I have mentioned a few ways to treat and give yourself a break from all your stress for at least for a day.

Wake Up with Gratitude: 

As the sun gently caresses the horizon, awaken with a heart brimming with gratitude. Take a moment to savor the warmth of your bed, the melody of birdsong outside your window, and the simple blessing of being alive. Let each breath be a reminder of the abundance of joy that surrounds you. Start day by empowering yourself and thanking god wherever you whatever you are it’s because of him.

Connect with Nature: 

Step into nature’s embrace and let the earth’s beauty awaken your senses. Nature is one of the best teacher and there couldn’t be any better way to enjoy this lovely day and have a moment with him. Feel the cool grass beneath your feet, listen to the symphony of rustling leaves and chirping birds, and breathe in the crisp, invigorating air. In nature’s embrace, find solace, renewal, and a profound sense of interconnectedness with all living beings.

Random Acts of Kindness: 

Embark on a journey of kindness, where every gesture is a symphony of love in action. Gift a warm smile to a passing stranger, pay for someone’s meal in line behind you or someone who is need of it. Simply lend a listening ear to a friend in need. In these small acts of kindness, discover the boundless joy that comes from lifting others.

Embrace Cultural Diversity: 

Venture beyond the familiar and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of cultures that adorn our world. Savor the exotic flavors of global cuisine, dance to the rhythm of your favorite music, visit temple, gurdwara or your religious shrine you never know what could ease your heart and make it happy. In celebrating our differences, discover the beauty of our shared humanity.

In the gentle embrace of mindfulness, find sanctuary amidst the chaos of the world. Close your eyes and sink into the stillness within, allowing each breath to anchor you to the present moment. Let go of worries, judgments, and distractions, and bask in the pure serenity of your being.

Let your creativity unfurl like a magnificent tapestry, weaving together threads of inspiration, imagination, and boundless possibility. Dive headfirst into passion projects that set your soul ablaze, whether it’s painting vibrant strokes on canvas, crafting heartfelt poetry, or dancing beneath the moonlit sky. Try undergoing these activities and ensure that you listen to your heart and follow your instincts. Though you should do this every day, I know it’s difficult. But a start is important and there couldn’t be anything better than going slow and getting better every day slowly and gradually.
