Travel a trend to be part of Social Media Day!

Trend, O yes, we live in an era of new dilutional introducing our life and stays with us unless and until we get hooked on it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a song, hook step, dressing style, mimicry of dialogue or just a deserted spot that doesn’t remain deserted anymore.

It’s a lovely Sunday morning in Mumbai. I have just finished my tea session with my maa paa. Indeed, it’s the season of pitter-patter and fresh essence of wet mud. Still feeling it in my nostrils.  Before I move ahead further, Happy Social Media Day my lovely fellas.

Sound’s wired but yes, we are part of our lifestyle where there is a day, especially for social media. It’s the birthday of our virtual world where we daydream, generate hopes, and relate with various facts and fiction along with creating a bucket list of must-visit destinations as our fingers keep rolling up and down gazing at travel reels.

Never thought I would be saying this but yes, most of our travel plans and urge to explore take birth from unrealistic hopes of social media.  Recently I travelled to Marine Drive to enjoy the essence of the monsoon of Mumbai and I must say the marines that I have heard, read and seen in past are nothing like what it seems like today. It was all filled with people eagerly waiting for the sun to get drown so that they could take snapshots and share them instantly. I won’t lie I was a part of this ritual as well because at the end of the day, I’m also a part of the social media world!

As a travel blogger, I say and recommend lots of things and places to visit but would never suggest you underestimate your journey and just enjoy your trip for a namesake of the virtual world of travel.

The true meaning of travel, exploring and fulfilling the urge of your wanderlust was not to only fill your galleries with videos and photos. Trust me this is coming from one of the people who loves clicking pictures, snaps and videos in her entire family.

Travel was and has always been about being there and in the moment living to the fullest. The true goal of exploring won’t be achieved unless and until you keep your smart gadget around you and look for it with every buzz.

Look I can curate a whole philosophical blog telling you how to avoid social media while travelling, but that’s not possible that isn’t going to happen, I can’t do it so won’t even tell you to do it.

All I would say is yes sticking to your picturesque Instagram profile is important but sticking to the beautiful moments is important as well. Because you never what next moments beholds for you any interaction, any scenic view, any experience any adventure is worth enough than being part of the virtual race where views and shares matter more than anything proudly known to be the trend.

Today is Sunday and probably there couldn’t be any better time than today to let your phone go into flight mode and let your heart undergo peaceful and exploring mode where you can head out alone or with your loved one to new or old spots around your vicinity.

Trust me you will observe so many things you can’t imagine. If you visit your favourite spot, I’m pretty sure you would find something different there would be something evolved that would make you awestruck. Tell me in the comments where are you heading, and I will tell you mine.

Till then Happy Sundaying
